After touring Asia with dates in Taiwan and Tokyo, contemporary art initiative POW! WOW! takes to its hometown Oahu, Hawaii for its 2016 festivities. Taking place over the course of Chinese New Year and the weekend of Valentine’s Day in the city’s Kakaʻako area, it goes without saying that an air of ingenuity was present, as both local and international artists brought stark, plain walls and panels to life with bold renderings. For nearly four decades, Los Angeles-based artist RISK has crushed the streets with the graffiti aesthetics that he helped to pioneer; from highway overpasses to dilapidated buildings, walls, trains and buses. He’s played an insurmountable role in not only solidifying Los Angeles as a graffiti hub, but pioneering a dangerous and beautiful art that has made him one of the most influential figures for subsequent generations of graffiti artists.

ROOF TOP MURAL x COORS LIGHT

Last month Coors Light offered to sponsor a mural. They said paint whatever you want to do and when your done invite a couple hundred of your friends and we’ll cater a party for the unveil. They once again did a top notch job. They had a few DJ’s, few bars , hors d’oeuvres, ice sculptures, give aways and a few coors light models handing out swag. GOOD TIMES!
